“For the Love and Memories of Disney” began as a passion project to honor my late mother-in-law, Jane {1934 - 2013}, and my late son, George, Jr. {1992 - 2013}.
My mother-in-law introduced me to Disney in 1980, and after my first opportunity to experience the magic, I was hooked! She helped foster my love for Disney, and though I was just a teenager at the time, it inspired me to spread the magic!
I had the first of many chances to share the magic in 1994 with my children, it was amazing to get to be a part of their excitement and joy! Fortunately, over the years I’ve continued to stumble upon chances to introduce many of my family and friends to the magic of Disney.
As it is for many people, Disney is one of my happy places. Some of my fondest memories were built in Disney, and after losing my son, George Jr., in 2013, it’s memories like those that have helped begin my healing. I found myself searching for a way to pay-it-forward, inspired by the love and memories, of Disney.
That’s when the idea for the pin that gives back was born!
